Kit Dress Sewing Pattern (Fibre Mood x MoMu)

This pattern was created as part of the European REEVALUATE project in collaboration with MoMu Antwerp.

From regional bodice to architectural dress:

Kit translates the distinctive lines of an 18th-century bodice from the Zaanstreek region into a striking contemporary dress. The fitted bodice with a round neckline and tie fastening at the back creates a strong contrast with the full, voluminous skirt. Two large layers of fabric add extra volume and movement, while the front darts subtly echo the square lines of the historical bodice. A dress that plays with proportion, volume and a touch of historical flair.
